1. Information We Collect

We collect account information (email, Cognito user ID) when you sign up. We process audio recordings you upload or create, cover images, and metadata you provide. Payment information is handled by Stripe; we do not store card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the Service: storing your recordings, running identification and OCR, managing your library, and processing subscriptions. We do not sell your data. We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve the Service.

3. Data Retention

Free: 24 hours. BYO-API: 48 hours. Full: 7 days (extendable with add-on pack). Recordings are deleted after the retention period. You may delete your account and request data deletion; we will remove your data within 30 days.

4. Third-Party Services

We use AWS Cognito for authentication, Stripe for payments, and optional services (AcoustID, AudD, OpenAI) for identification and OCR. Those providers have their own privacy policies. When using BYO-API, your API keys are sent directly to those services.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security practices. Recordings and account data are stored in per-user directories with access controls. BYO-API keys are stored only on your account record and are not shown to other users. Platform secrets live in the server environment, not in the application database. We recommend you use a strong password and keep your credentials secure.

6. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data through the Service or by contacting us. You may export your library. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights (e.g. GDPR, CCPA).

7. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
